Gather and Give Thanks: TBC’s Thanksgiving Meal Event Details

by | Nov 15, 2024

As autumn leaves start to cover the grounds and a cool breeze fills the air, TBC is gearing up for its cherished annual Thanksgiving meal event. Set to take place on Sunday, November 24, in the expansive Activity Center, this event promises to blend warmth, gratitude, and community spirit into a memorable gathering. Beyond the feast, all Sunday School classes and Kids Street activities will maintain their regular schedules, ensuring a seamless day for attendees of all ages. It’s a fantastic opportunity for local neighborhood residents, potential home buyers and sellers, as well as local business owners, to come together, meet new faces, and strengthen community bonds over a shared appreciation for the season.

The event will feature a traditional Thanksgiving spread, complete with roast turkey, stuffing, and a variety of seasonal sides, all lovingly prepared by community volunteers. Tables will be set with fall-themed decorations, creating a cozy and welcoming environment that reflects the warmth of the holiday. In addition to the meal, attendees can enjoy live music and interactive activities for children, giving families a chance to relax and celebrate in an inclusive, family-friendly setting.

With inclusivity and convenience in mind, the event offers two serving time options: the first between 11 AM – 11:30 AM and the second from 12 PM – 12:30 PM. Tickets are affordably priced at $5 per individual or $20 for a family bundle, catering to those residing in the same household. To ensure everyone who wishes to attend can do so, the ticket purchase deadline has been set for Monday, November 18. Tickets are available for purchase in person at the Connect Center on Sundays or online, offering flexibility and ease for all interested. As for the menu, attendees can look forward to a traditional Thanksgiving spread that includes turkey with dressing, green beans, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, rolls, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, and a selection of beverages. Please note, in lieu of the Thanksgiving Meal Event, there will be no other evening activities on November 24, allowing everyone to focus on this special occasion of giving thanks and enjoying the company of community members.
